BEACHLY TIPS: 3 SIMPLE WAYS TO HAVE A MORE GRATEFUL MINDSET
We're already a few days into November and you know what that means... Thanksgiving will be here before we know it! As we close out the year of 2020, we're going to try and find the silver-linings in what this year has brought. Shifting our perspective to be more grateful is one of the best ways to feel those Beachly good vibes, even when times get tough! Instead of focusing on the setbacks and obstacles this year has brought, we're going to try these 3 tips on having a more grateful mindset through the holiday season. What do you think, Beachly Babe? Are you in!?
1. Write down what you're thankful for every day. Whether you choose to start off your day by jotting down a quick list of what you're grateful for or you prefer to wind down your evening with a short list of gratitudes, writing it down is imperative to shifting your mindset to grateful! When we write things down, we take a moment to quiet our minds and check-out of the digital world for a few minutes. A great habit to start is journaling your gratitudes once or twice a day. Overtime, this will shift your mindset and become a locked-in habit. Who doesn't want to feel more grateful for the simple things in life!? I know I do.
2. Share your gratitudes out loud. How often do you find yourself accidentally complaining about all of the things going wrong in your life instead of sharing some good vibes and positivity? It's easy to have a long list of what's gone wrong. And sometimes we need our Tribe to be a listening ear or a shoulder to lean on when times get tough. But that doesn't mean we can't talk about all of the things we're feeling extra thankful for too! Maybe it was your kids putting their toys away without being asked or the person in front of you buying your drink at Starbucks. Let's share those good vibes and happy moments with each other more often to shift our mindset to grateful.
3. Unplug from the digital world. The world of social media is filled with many great, insightful, light-hearted things. But let's be real... it can also be a super negative, toxic place. The more time we spend online, the more we allow our minds to be filled with all that noise and the less we focus on the simple things in our life. AKA those little moments of gratitude! Try to unplug for an hour a day, a day a week, or a whole week at a time - whatever fits you, Beachly Babe!
Here at Beachly, we're all about delivering the good vibes - no matter when or where. As a part of the Beachly Tribe, let's keep the positivity going throughout the end of this year! How are you going to shift your mindset to grateful? Leave a comment down below!
